Termination 

We reserve the right, without notice and in our sole and absolute discretion, to discontinue and terminate any service offered by or through this website and app as well as this website and app at any time. 


Severability 

If any of these terms and conditions is deemed unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision may be severed from these terms and conditions, and it will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

Terms & Conditions of Car Park (Centrale Multi-Storey)

These Terms

These terms apply to the entry to and use of the car park. Any reference to ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’ in these terms is a reference to the owner(s) and/or operator(s) of the car park.

Using the Car Park

To activate the entry barrier, you must take a ticket from the ticket machine. Please keep your ticket in a safe place as you will need it to pay and exit the car park.

We permit you to access and use the car park for the sole purpose of parking your vehicle. You must comply with all reasonable instructions of our staff at all times.

You are allowed to park your vehicle in an appropriate designated parking bay during the car park opening hours (as set out on the notice board at the entrance to the car park).

Parking bays reserved for a specific purpose should only be used for that purpose. You must not use those parking bays for any other purpose (for example, and without limitation, parking in a space designated for disabled persons without an appropriate disability badge displayed, parking in a space for electric vehicles when you are not using the charging facility or parking in a parent and child bay when you are not accompanied by a child).

Please drive carefully and obey the speed limits and any directional and other signs in the car park.

The entry barriers will only open if there are spaces available for you to park your vehicle.

Please not that as car parking charges are payable from the time you enter the car park.

Therefore, even if you subsequently decide not to park your vehicle in the car park, you will still need to pay the applicable tariff in order to exit the car park.

Please securely lock your vehicle at all times whilst parked in the car park and do not leave any valuables in your vehicle. We are not responsible for any consequence or loss arising from a failure by you to properly secure your vehicle.

After you have parked and secured your vehicle, exit the car park via the nearest passenger lifts, stairs or other exit. Do not try to exit the car park by walking under a vehicle entry or exit barrier.

Prohibited activities

You must not:

  • tow any vehicle into the car park;

  • conduct any activities in connection with the selling, hiring or other disposal of vehicles or goods or services in the car park;

  • pour petrol, or any other fuel, into your vehicle whilst it is in the car park or remove petrol, or any other fuel from your vehicle whilst it is in the car park; or

  • perform any works on your vehicle whilst it is in the car park (e.g. cleaning, maintenance, repairs). Although we may provide (or procure the provision of) these services to you in the car park.

Our rights

We may refuse the admission of any vehicle to the car park for any reason whatsoever. We may ask you to leave the car park if you do not comply with these terms, cause damage to property, engage in criminal activity, misbehave in any way and/or have no reason to be present in the car park.

We may refuse you entry to and/or ask you to leave the car park for any valid reason including but not limited to, natural disaster, fire or act or threat of terrorism. We may move any vehicle within the car park or take your vehicle onto a public highway by driving or otherwise to such extent as we may reasonably think necessary to avoid obstruction or for reasons relating to health and/or safety. In doing so, we will take reasonable care of the vehicle.

We may refuse to lift the exit barrier at the car park to allow the release of any vehicle for which payment has not been received.

We may issue you with a parking charge notice in the circumstances specified on the signage in the car park requiring you to pay us a parking charge (as indicated on the signage in the car park). Details/information relating to how to pay the parking charge, deadlines for payment, what will happen if you fail to make payment within the stipulated deadline, and the appeal process will be set out on the parking charge notice.

Cameras and automatic number plate recognition

CCTV and automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) cameras are installed in the car park. The cameras are intended to assist us in providing you with a secure car park service, including for the prevention and detection of crime. These cameras may collect your personal data. Charges and payment

You must pay for parking in the car park. The charges and methods of payment are displayed at the entrance to the car park and at the payment machine points.

The charges are based on the period that your vehicle is on site. You must pay for your parking at the designated payment machine points prior to your exit using the ticket issued to you on entry.

Please note that any delay in exiting the car park following payment, may result in additional charges being incurred.

Failure to pay the charges may result in a parking charge notice as referred to above. The ticket issued on entry to the car park can only be used for the vehicle for which it was issued and cannot be transferred to another vehicle.

If you have lost or cannot produce your ticket, you must pay a charge equivalent to the period from the time of opening on the day of your entry until the time of your exit.

Our responsibility for loss or damage suffered by you

Please remember this car park is a public place and we cannot guarantee the safety of any vehicle, its contents or of any person.

If we fail to comply with these terms or to use reasonable care and skill in providing the car park service, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or our failing to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors; for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or for breach of your legal rights.

Your responsibility for loss or damage suffered by us

If you, your vehicle or a passenger in your vehicle cause damage to the car park then, except where the damage arises from our negligence, we will seek to recover the cost of repair and associated administration costs from you.

You agree to reimburse us in respect of any claim against us by a third party arising out of your use of the car park.

Reporting of Incidents

If your vehicle has broken down you should notify a member of staff immediately so that we may ensure that any necessary steps are taken to prevent an obstruction or a risk to health and safety of any other person or property in the car park.

If your vehicle has been damaged or stolen you should report the matter immediately to a member of staff. You should also notify your insurers and, in the case of theft, the Police. If you damage another customer’s vehicle you should report the matter immediately to a member of our staff and give them the registration number of both vehicles. You should also notify your insurers.

Abandonment of Vehicles

If we reasonably believe that a vehicle has been abandoned, we reserve the right to remove and sell the vehicle.

Prior to any sale, we will make reasonable enquiries to identify and contact the registered owner and give notice of our intention to sell the vehicle if it is not collected within 30 days. The proceeds of sale will be used to satisfy any parking charges (which will be levied at the then prevailing tariff) and other costs in connection with the removal, storage and sale of the vehicle. The balance will be held on behalf of and paid to the registered owner of the vehicle on proof of ownership.

Exit

You can only exit the car park during the car park opening hours on production of a paid and validated ticket.

If your vehicle is still parked after the car park closes, then you will not be able to exit until the car park re-opens and you will be charged for the period that your vehicle is on-site.

If you delay exiting the car park once you have paid the fee due for the time on-site, you may incur additional charges.


Competitions (Website, Facebook, Twitter & Instagram) - Terms and Conditions

The winner will be notified by telephone and /or email within 14 days of the Closing Date using the contact details provided at the time of entry. The winner must collect their prize in person from Centrale, Croydon at a time to be mutually agreed. Prizes must be collected within 14 days. If the prize is unclaimed after this time, it will lapse and the Promoter may (but shall not be obliged to) offer the unclaimed prize to a runner up selected in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. No cash alternative. The Promoter reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time on giving notice through its website and Centrale PLUS app www.centraleandwhitgift.co.uk

By entering Free Prize Draws you: (a) accept these Terms and Conditions; and (b) consent to the use of your personal data by the Promoter for the purposes of administration of the Draw (including publishing your name and county if you are the winner) and any other purposes to which you have consented. You agree that if you are a winner, you will take part in and co-operate fully with reasonable publicity and to the use of your name and photograph in such publicity. Not open to employees (or their immediate families) of Centrale & Whitgift, its agencies, owners or anyone else professionally associated with this promotion. Centrale & Whitgift reserves the right to request proof of identity or to verify eligibility conditions and to award any prize to the winner in person.

3. Maximum one entry per person unless otherwise stated. Entries via agents or third parties or the use of multiple identities and email addresses are not permitted.

4. Only online entries via the channels promoted will be accepted. You must register with the Centrale website and Centrale PLUS app to enter online competitions. Entries must be submitted as promoted by the closing date. 

5. Use of automated entries or programs is prohibited and all such entries will be disqualified if discovered.

6. Winners will be selected by Centrale & Whitgift or a co-promoter in a random draw within 5 days of the closing date from all valid and correct entries received.

7. Centrale & Whitgift reserves the right to disqualify late, misdirected, incomplete, corrupted, lost, illegible or invalid entries.  

8. For online entries: Centrale & Whitgift cannot guarantee continuous, uninterrupted or secure access to the website and app and is not responsible for any disruption to the promotion or the website and app due to technical problems or otherwise due to events outside of its reasonable control.

9. To enter online we will ask you to either submit your existing Centrale & Whitgift username and password or to register your personal details with us.  Your personal details will be used in accordance with Centrale & Whitgift Privacy Policy and may be passed to our agents to administer the promotion and send out prizes. 16. In the event that Centrale & Whitgift wishes to contact you in connection with your entry we will do so via an email ending in centrale.co.uk or by phone with a follow up e-mail. Any email which appears to come from Centrale & Whitgift but using a different suffix should be treated with suspicion and forwarded to marketing@centrale.co.uk for verification. Please do not respond or act on any e-mail if you are not sure that it comes from Centrale & Whitgift. If you are in any doubt please contact Marketing. 

17. Winners may be required to participate in reasonable related publicity without further payment or permission. Centrale & Whitgift may publish first name, surname initial, age and/or town/city in printed or digital communications. 

18. Winners entering via Centrale & Whitgift’s Facebook page or Twitter feeds will be notified via same medium and agree to their full name or other moniker being announced online and reasonable additional publicity. 

19. For information regarding the names of the winners (and, if applicable, their winning entries) email Marketing quoting the name of the prize draw or competition. Unfortunately we are unable to return any entries sent to us by post.

20. Any images on the website and app are for illustration only. 

21. The judge’s decision is final and we reserve the right not to correspond on any matter.

  • Centrale & Whitgift reserves the right to disqualify late, misdirected, incomplete, corrupted, lost, illegible or invalid entries.

  • Prizes must be collected from the Centrale Management Suite. If any prize cannot be collected within the given timescale, Centrale & Whitgift reserves the right to select an alternative winner or re-distribute the prize in a future competition or prize draw. Centrale & Whitgift has no responsibility to anyone who has not collected the prize and no compensation will be due. Centrale & Whitgift has arranged this Promotion in good faith but, to the fullest extent allowed by law, accepts no responsibility for loss or damages as a result of anyone participating in the Promotion or any aspect of any prize awarded. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

  • Centrale & Whitgift reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel or terminate the promotion or extend or resume the entry period or disqualify any participant at any time without giving advance notice and will do so if it cannot be guaranteed that the promotion can be carried out fairly or correctly for technical, legal or other reasons or if Centrale & Whitgift suspects that any person has been manipulating entries or the results or has acted unethically in any other way

  • No cash or other alternative prizes are available, except when in the event of circumstances outside of its control Centrale & Whitgift reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Prizes cannot be transferred or sold.

  • We require a response before we award any prize and if no response is received after 31 days after the closing date, Centrale & Whitgift reserves the right to withdraw prize entitlement and award the prize to someone else. Centrale & Whitgift has no responsibility to anyone who has not responded and no compensation will be due.

  • Winners may be required to participate in reasonable related publicity without further payment or permission. Centrale & Whitgift may publish first name, surname initial, age and/or town/city in printed or digital communications

  • Prizes are subject to availability, should the prize be unavailable, a prize of a similar price/specification will be substituted.

  • The judge’s decision is final and we reserve the right not to correspond on any matter.

  • The laws of England apply and any disputes will be dealt with in the English courts only Standard terms & conditions to be read in conjunction with specific terms and conditions available on each web page. Specific T&Cs take precedence where the two sets diverge

  • The winner will be contacted via email and must reply to the email to be able to collect the prize.
